Is there a Military Discount?
Active Military and First Responders receive a discount at the door for a day pass with valid ID.

Do I have to stay at the Hotel?

No, but we highly recommend it, even if you are local. There is simply too much to do at Anime Lubbock compared to a Comic-Con style event. We plan things to do for 16+ hours a day.​ Stay at the hotel if you can

 

Is this a family-friendly show?

Yes, absolutely! All 18+ events are clearly marked and require ID, most of which are past 9pm

Can I make Celebrity Guest Recommendations?

Fandom Events is one of the largest anime convention companies in the United States. If you would like to see a specific guest, you must be willing to personally sponsor their appearance.  Email Sponsorships@Fandomevents.org to set up payment options.  It usually costs about $1,500 per guest.

Why isn't _____ (celebrity) appearing?

• There are literally hundreds of talented voice actors. We cannot invite all of them every year, yes, even the one that is your absolute favorite. There are many, many factors involved in who can appear

• Anime Lubbock has one of the biggest and highest star-power anime lineup in West Texas.

• This is NOT a comic con or "autograph con"- we have more programming in a single day than an entire weekend at a large Comic-Con; Anime Lubbock is a 3-day celebration with dozens of panels, programs, concerts, and activities

• If you've been trained by comic cons to think all there is to do at Anime Lubbock is shop in the Exhibit Hall and meet Celebrities, please enjoy the weekend with us - you will be blown away at all there is to do at Anime Lubbock

• We understand attendees may not be able to stay all 3 days, but it is absolutely the best way to enjoy the weekend, plus it helps the convention out. Click here to book your room!

Will there be an autograph authentication service on site?

MonthlyPops is our official COA service and will be located near Celebrity Row

Yes, day passes are available online or at the door

No. All sales are final. Yes, this means you. No, we can't make an exception

Does it cost to meet the celebrities?

No, but photos and autographs do. Prices set by each guest, which may not be relayed to OKiCon until the event begins. We will post pricing guides as soon as we receive them

It varies with each Guest. Head to our Guests page for more info; we will post pricing guides as soon as we receive them. It's usually between $20 and $40 per item

Absolutely! It's a wholesome event and absolutely worth it

Yes, just not inside the Chill Zone or Elegante restaurant.

I'm a VIP and can't make the VIP Mixer on Thursday night. When can I get my stuff?

Whenever you arrive is totally fine. You do not HAVE to attend the mixer, but please do if you can!
